Based on a memoir by Lynsey Addario, the story of film is about a war photographer Lynsey Addario as she ìgoes into the most dangerous places in the world in search of truth.î Lawrence is tapped to play the lead character, reports deadline.com.
While other cast members were not announced, it has been reported that a number of actresses have been eyeing the feature, including Reese Witherspoon, Natalie Portman, and Margot Robbie.
Lawrence is currently shooting for her new film ìJoyî.
Meanwhile, Spielberg is on board directing a Cold War thriller, ìSt. James Placeî, starring Tom Hanks, which will release on October 16.
